Dura 3D Garage Designer - Standalone Application

Dura are a long-standing and valued client with whom we have had a good working relationship for over five years. As a designer and manufacturer of garage systems, they were keen to develop a tool that would allow users to build and purchase custom garage layouts on-line.

Using our custom 3D engine, we were able to implement a solution for them and integrate it with the existing Dura website within 6 weeks and Dura customers are now able to visualise their own garage layouts, helping greatly in their decision-making process.

The Dura 3D Garage Designer includes the following features:

• A categorised drag-and-drop warehouse of Dura garage items, plus custom objects such as doors, windows and pillars;
• The ability to move, rotate and snap objects together for optimal layout;
• Collision detection to sub-millimetric level, to ensure that the virtual layout can be exactly reproduced in real life;
• An intelligent floor tiling system, with the ability to tile an entire floor in a single operation;
• The ability to switch between plan and perspective views, and to build and customise the layout in either view;
• An interactive tape measure so that you can accurately judge the distances between items;
• A real-time cost calculator to help you stay within your allocated budget plus a link to on-line shopping basket and checkout facilities;
• A screenshot facility allowing you to print your designs.
