Third Dimension Helps

On 14 January, W S Atkins used Milborne Port based Third Dimension Limited's virtual reality model of the High Street, Milborne Port to explain the proposed road calming scheme to 100 concerned residents. The use of the 3D model allowed everyone to fully appreciate the proposal and provided a focus for a lively and productive 90 minute debate.

The views expressed, and the ideas generated were then considered at the Milborne Parish Council meeting the following week. Everyone concerned was most appreciative of the 3D model and considered the use of such models as an invaluable communication and consultative tool. Readers may recall that Third Dimension Limited provided similar support to Sherborne 2000 in 1997 by modelling the then proposed Sainsbury development.
