The Internet is obviously an important medium for extending the marketing envelope for any business. Initially, a business can have a website which is essentially just an extension of its brochure with details of the company, its products and its services. e-Commerce Providing the ability for consumers to purchase products from the website.

e-Business Providing facilities, which may include purchasing, tracking, account management, privileged information etc., for other businesses which may be its customers and/or suppliers.
